This workshop was designed for gifted art students from Cardinal Hinsley, Queens Park & Preston Manor High School to help improve their exam performance with the help of ICT.

Students firstly brainstormed the theme in pairs and then started to collect suitable digital images (scans, photos & Internet images) to include in their work.

They worked with Digital Cameras, Scanners, Graphic Tablets and PhotoShop to produce a finished piece of art for assessment – it many cases, students used the final outcome to help them to finalise an idea for the exam. ICT was used to simplify: TONE and COLOUR and speed up the experimentation process.

The inclusion of art created using ICT is an essential part of the art curriculum and is a great way to stimulate and motivate students.
