You are charged per minute by your phone company at the local call rate, 1p per minute at weekends and more during the week day and in the evenings.

The advantages are: good for new Internet users who aren't sure how much time they will spend on the Internet or if you are a light or occasional Internet user.

The disadvantages are: expensive for heavy Internet users (several hours a week) and telephone support may be expensive (50p or £1 a minute).
