Insert Table 1. Open Microsoft Word and create a New Page.


Create a Table

1. Click Table menu / Insert / Table.
2. Delete column number and type 1 / delete row number and type 2.
3. Delete Auto in the Column width box and type 10.5
4. Click O.K.


Modify Table

1. Double click table properties Table Properties (top left) of table.

2. Click Table tab, click Center.

3. Click Row tab and Click Specify Height box and type 3 cm. Click arrow to the left of Row height is box and click Exactly.

Row Tab

4. Click O.K.

5. Click Center Center alignment on the toolbar and click into the first row of the table.


Insert Clipart

1. Click Insert menu / Picture / Clipart.

2. In the Clip Art panel (right) Type health in the search for box. Click go.


Modify Clipart

1. Double click an image you like. It should appear in the table row.

2. Double click image again.

3.Click Size tab

4. Click Size tab. Ensure that the Lock aspect ratio box is ticked. Type 3 in the Height box.

5. Click O.K.


Enter & Format Text

1. Click into the second table row. Type and format the following text which should be in Arial font and centered.

BODYCARE (bold, red 22,)
HEALTH & FITNESS (bold, dark blue, 14)
25 High Street, London, HA1 2LP (dark blue,11)

Modify Table
1. Double click table properties Table Properties Click table tab. Click borders and shading (at the bottom).

2. Arrow to the right of the colour box. Click the white colour square.

3. Click O.K.

4. Click O.K.


Save File As Template

1. Click File menu / Save As.

2. Type initalsLetterHead as the File name.

3. Click arrow to the right of Save as type and Click Document Template.

4. Ensure that the Save in box says My Documents. If not, click arrow to the right of Save in box and click My Documents from the list.

5. Click Save.

6. Click File menu / Close.


Open Template File

1. Click File menu / New.

2. Under Templates (Panel on right), click On my computer.

3. Click General tab.

4. Click initialsLetterHead and click O.K. to load file.

You can now use it to type letters etc.
