Query Setup

Note! Each row in the bottom half of the query window is used to construct your query.

The Field row

The Field row is used to display a field. Click the arrow on the right of the column and select the field you want from the list. Repeat this process in the other columns until you have all the required fields displayed.

The Table row

The Table row is used to display the name of the table being used. The table name appears automatically after the field names has been selected.

The Sort row

The Sort row is used to specify the sort option for that field. Click the arrow on the right of the column and select none, ascending or descending.

The Show row

The Show row. The tick confirms that the field will be displayed when you view the results of the query. Click the tick to remove it thereby not showing the field when viewing the results of the query.

The Criteria row

The Criteria row is used to search for information in that field, e.g. if it is the City field, then search for a city not a date of birth. See Query examples for help in specifying the information you want.

The Or row

The Or row is used to specify another search within that field.
