When you click the My Computer icon on the Desktop, you can access the contents of the computer. The contents are stored in storage areas called drives. The layout may look slightly different to the one shown here.

Printers folder allows you to modify your printer settings.

Control Panel folder allows you to change various system settings on your computer such as the date and time.

Dial up Networking folder Allows you to set up and modify your internet connections.

3½ Floppy (A:) This displays the contents of your floppy disc.

(C:) This displays the contents of the computer’s Hard drive. This where all your programs are stored and all the other folders and files stored on your computer.

(E:) or (D:) This displays the contents of your CD or DVD
