Aimed at absolute beginners, this course takes you through the basics of using a computer. How to use a keyboard and a mouse, working with Windows XP. You will gain confidence through step by step instructions and exercises using the latest word processing and spreadsheet programs, in a relaxed and friendly environment.

This course is aimed at those who have completed Beginners Computing or who have some computer experience. You will develop your I.T skills by using the advanced features of Word Processing, Spreadsheet, Database and Email Software. By the end of the course you will be able to utilise your skills to produce professional looking documents.

If you know how to use a mouse to point and click at the screen then this course is suitable for you. You will learn how to email, how to search the internet for information. You will be able to listen to music, watch film clips and play online games. We will be looking at how to shop on the Internet, visit a Chat room and many more.

These courses are open to Adult Learners in the Brent Community and Harrow. Courses are heavily subsidised by the Centre at £30 for FOUR three hour workshops.

We have a network of Dell Computers and Laptops running Windows XP professional.
In addition we have Dreamweaver (Web design), Photoshop CS2 (Image processing,
Adobe audition (Music processing), Adobe Premier (Video) and numerous other
applications to which we are constantly adding to and upgrading as funds
become available. All IT rooms have Interactive whiteboards and the
courses are run by a qualified, experienced trainer.
We also have an Apple Mac network with 25 Apple Computers.
