Blaze Radio is the longest running project of The Preston Manor City Learning Centre. Our aim is to use digital technology to motivate learners and make learning fun through the medium of Radio. We are currently involved in producing the following items for transmission and inclusion in our curriculum resources and training programmes:

  • Music programming
  • Talking books
  • Radio in the curriculum
  • See me, hear me
  • RU bothered citizenship
  • The Wembley project
  • Over To You
  • Clear Streams

"The Manor" Radio Soap Opera has been made easier to use, the episodes will soon be available as downloadable "Podcasts" which can be played on any mp3 player. Episodes can now be accessed online via PC and Apple computers seamlessly.

The Broadcast Times for Blaze have now changed. Blaze will now be broadcasted between 1pm - 2pm every lunchtime. We hope that this will fit in with lunchtimes across the borough and make for more happy producers and listeners. We would like to remind you that Blaze can be received on any PC running either Windows or Mac software with headphones or speakers.

Our aim is to use Radio as a tool to enhance teaching and learning, provide a core team of gifted and talented actors, producers, writers, and work with web-designers to provide a unique learning experience within an exciting multi-media environment.
